Calling all Hawaii dogs! In addition to our Signature Sessions for private clients, I am now working with local and national dog brands for commercial photography in Hawaii. In the past, our dog models have been featured in various books, calendars, online and editorial campaigns, international photography competitions, and more.
Iʻm always looking for new models so if you would like a fun and different way to bond with your dog, be sure to read through the details and apply below. All dog breeds and talent levels are welcome to apply!

This database is simply a resource to help find the perfect dog model for commercial and personal projects according to the specifications - breed, size, age, personality, etc. As new projects come up, I will contact you if your dog meets the specifications to discuss the timeline, compensation, and other details.
No, it is free to apply! Depending on the job, you and your dog will be paid an hourly rate, receive free products, and/or prints from the session. Youʻll always be compensated for your time!
I will reach out to you when I have a commercial, editorial, or personal project that your dog may be a good fit for to discuss the details. Project opportunities and needs vary so you may be contacted in a few weeks, months, or even years. If you are looking for someone to actively source jobs for your dog, a talent agency would be a better fit.
Most of the time I am looking for dogs who are calm and confident around new people and in new locations. If your dog has a solid 5+ second stay, knows any awesome tricks, or has a great drive to perform with positive reinforcement then that definitely helps too! Being available on weekdays is a plus, but not essential.
If your dog is very reactive toward other humans and dogs, then this might not be the best fit for you. My Signature Session (for private clients) are perfect for reactive dogs since 100% of the session is all about them and making sure they are happy and comfortable.
If your dog is reactive in certain situations or canʻt be off leash (I understand, our Kobe is the same way) be sure to share this in your application. Some projects may only require one dog or take place indoors, so Iʻll always try to find the perfect match for your dogʻs safety and wellbeing.
Dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages can apply as long as they are friendly around new people
Must be located in Hawaii (Oahu, Big Island, Maui, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai)
A solid sit, down, and stay are common commands needed for these sessions
No prior modeling experience required, but preference may be given to dogs with a high obedience level

Please fill out the application with as much detail as possible. Itʻs important you answer honestly so we can match you with a suitable project and set your dog up to succeed. If you have multiple dogs, please complete a separate application for each dog.

- Dog owners will be required to sign a model release and commercial use agreement
- You must be willing to handle your dog when required during the session.
- Your information will be stored securely in our database and used only by Keri Nakahashi Photography.
- Admission into our database does not guarantee selection for future paid modeling or free photography.
- Whenever possible, youʻll get to see the final images from the session. However this may vary depending on the project and licensing agreement.
