Dogs are one of life’s greatest gifts, but they come with a caveat – they can only be with you for a limited time. This is why I know these memories we create will become priceless over time. I enjoy capturing the little things – like the way your dog prances after a ball, their puppy eyes when begging for treats, and how happy rolling in grass makes them – because I hope when you look back at these images you’ll remember how big these “little” things really were.

I am proud to offer a collection of the most unique and highest quality products in the industry, from albums to display options that complement any home decor. At the end of it all, you’ll have beautiful artwork that ensures your home is one filled with stunning memories.

About 4-5 weeks after our ordering session, your artwork will be ready! The best part is: I will hand-deliver it and install it for you! It’s simple to DIY of course, but most clients are happy to let me take the leveling and straightening off their hands and simply enjoy the finished product (not to mention the compliments rolling in).

Fair warning: It’ll be awhile before you can take your eyes off your fresh new prints and the impact they have on your room!

The Ordering Session

three

About 2 weeks from your session, we’ll meet for a big “reveal.” I’ll come to your home (alternatively you can visit my home office) and present a slideshow of images, which makes it easy to pick your favorites. Most people are surprised by how much they love this moment! The best part is – you’ll get your photos ordered and done within one hour, with me there to help you figure out exactly what you want. You’ll get to handle product samples to get a sense of their quality, and hold them up to your own walls to see what works best with your décor. (No scrutinizing on a computer screen trying to guess!)

two

We’ll make this session a true gift to your dog. I’ll bring toys and treats and we’ll spend lots of time playing (and cuddling). You can expect a fun, professional experience and we’ll let your dog set the pace. Because I work with many untrained dogs, it’s ok if it takes time and loads of patience to get the perfect shot. My years of experience working with dogs means I’m not in a rush, and my goal is simply to capture them being their doggie self.

Your Session

Consultation

one

Iʻll start by getting to know your dog!. What do they love? What makes them nervous? I’ll send you a questionnaire and we’ll discuss your answers in depth, along with any particular goals you have for the session. I’ll offer ideas for our session and possible locations, and we’ll pick the one that works best for your dog. I’ll also show you some samples of our gorgeous art products so you can start brainstorming how to display your images.

step by step, here's what to expect

We were concerned that they would not be still long enough to get a nice shot of them together. However, Keri knows and loves dogs and it shows. She doesnʻt try to rush the shot, instead just lets them be themselves and take the shots as they come naturally. - Kellyn

"The session was fun and stress-free. Keri is always kind and patient

She was incredibly patient with my rescue pup, Zurie, who is socially awkward when it comes to new people and places. Keri has a lot of great photographic ideas and is willing to go above and beyond to get the right shot and keep her furry (and human) clients happy." - Shanna

"Keri has a laid back yet professional style that makes everyone feel very comfortable.

Our girls were on leash the entire time, and there was never a moment that we weren’t close by.  Keri’s editing magic took us out of the photo as if we were never there at all!  Keri also has a whole arsenal of items to keep the dogs’ attention, so we didn’t have to worry about them getting distracted!" - Niki

"Keri always puts dogs in their best chance to succeed.

Kind Words from Clients

Product and pricing details

Iʻm proud to offer carefully curated products sourced from the best labs around the world. Their exceptional craftsmanship and premium materials is not something you can find in stores. Most clients invest between $800-$4000, but you are only purchasing what you absolutely love so your total investments depends on how you wish to enjoy your images.

products and pricing

Dogs are family members, and we want to remember every bit of them. You probably already feel this way – most people take photos of their dogs, and those images only become more meaningful with time. Hiring a professional who specializes in dogs and understands their psychology gives you the chance to have bright, colorful, sharp images that show every detail and expression. The result is crisp, beautiful art that you simply can’t get with a phone, ready to enlarge and hang.

WHY SHOULD I HIRE A PET PHOTOGRAPHER - ISN’T IT A BIT OF AN ODD THING TO SPEND MONEY ON?

Most clients tend to spend between $1500-2500, but this varies greatly. A typical order consists of wall art, an album, and digital images so that you can enjoy your artwork in a variety of ways. But what you choose to order is completely up to you – there is no minimum order requirement and I offer a variety of interest-free payment plans.

WHAT DOES THE AVERAGE CLIENT INVEST IN THEIR Signature Session?

Wherever your pet feels the most comfortable since that’s where we’ll get the best images! Your home, a park, the beach, or around town. If your dog is nervous or stressed, it will show in the pictures, so a major part of our pre-session chat will be finding what brings them joy! Keep in mind, the more beautiful your location, the more beautiful your images will be.

WHERE WILL THE SESSION TAKE PLACE?

Yes! While I specialize in dogs, I love all animals and have photographed cats, chickens, and goats as well.

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH PETS OTHER THAN DOGS?

Your session is usually held the first few hours after sunrise or the few hours before sunset. When the sun is near the horizon (aka Golden Hour), it casts a dreamy orange light over everything that makes photos look absolutely magical. We try to avoid midday sessions when the sun high in the sky, as it casts a harsh light that creates very contrasting shadows over everything. Highlights become blown out, while shadows fall into a deep darkness. As you can imagine, this is can be an unflattering look for anyone.

WHAT TIME WILL THE SESSION BE?

Yes! Training helps, but it’s not required. About 90% of the dogs you see in my portfolio are not well-trained (meaning everything from not being able to be let off leash, to getting overly excited in public, to needing extra space away from people and other dogs). After years of photographing all kinds of dogs with different needs, I am confident we will get beautiful photos of your dog. The secret? A knack with dogs, lots of patience and a special bag of treats + noisemakers for your pup, plus a nice chat with you about what they love most.

MY DOG CAN BE DIFFICULT, NERVOUS, OR SHY, AND ISN’T WELL-TRAINED. WILL A SESSION WORK FOR US?

Actually, between the initial phone call (shorter than an episode of your favorite TV show), the session (a typical evening at a park that you’d spend anyway) and the ordering session (which goes by in a breeze with personal help deciding), with me installing your final pieces, it doesn’t take up much time. Spread over several weeks, you’ll hardly notice it in your schedule. Photographing your dog now, while you’re here thinking about it, is the best way to make sure it gets done and that you take full advantage of the time you have with them.

THIS SEEMS LIKE IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME, SHOULDN’T I WAIT UNTIL LATER?

Many clients come to me with a phone full of images that were slightly blurred, or that the camera took just *after* the dog did its signature cute thing. When you work with a professional who understands dogs, you’re not taking a chance that the camera will just get lucky and be there in the right place at the right time. I create the right place and the right time, with expertise in lighting and speed that ensures you’ll get the images you dream of. I’ve never met a dog who I wasn’t able to create a set of great images for – if anything, you’ll have a hard time deciding between them!

I NEVER GET A GOOD PHOTO OF MY DOG, HOW COULD ANYONE ELSE?

Definitely! About 90% of the dogs I photograph are kept on leash. I actually prefer it for their safety. Leashes can be removed during my retouching process, read more about that here.

MY DOG CAN’T BE OFF LEASH AT ALL. IS THAT OK?

Absolutely. The primary focus of the session is on your dog, but you and your family are welcome to join in. I love capturing the bond between dogs and their humans, and these images only gain meaning with time.

CAN MY FAMILY AND I BE IN THE PICTURES?

No worries. I always check the weather forecast before your session. If it looks like it may rain or be too overcast, we will play it by ear and reschedule if needed.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER DOESN’T COOPERATE?

Yes! I work with clients all over Hawaii. If you’d like a session on any of the neighboring islands, send me a message and Iʻll add you to the waitlist. When enough interest is shown I’m happy to arrange dates on Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. Travel fees may apply for immediate bookings.

For sessions outside of Hawaii, get in touch and we can plan something fun!

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR SESSIONS?

Whatever you feel comfortable in is always best, however please do not choose bright colors or anything with large logos. I’ll send you a style guide to help coordinate your family’s outfits – there are a few tricks that will come in handy both now and probably in the future!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We’ll meet for an Ordering Appointment about 2 weeks after your photo session. During this time I can help you make a final decision and place an order based on your goals and budget (clients love how fast and easy this is compared to online galleries!).
I’ll hand-deliver your art and install it for you 4-5 weeks after you place your order. Rush orders are available for a nominal fee if you have a special deadline.

WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO SEE MY PHOTOS & HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET OUR PRODUCTS?

No problem, a 24-hour notice is required to reschedule your session without forfeiting your retainer.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO RESCHEDULE?
